Frankincense/Myrrh Body Oil Ingredients and their benefits:
Calendula Infused Sunflower Oil: A great source of vitamin E, rich in nutrients and antioxidants, and can be effective for skincare issues like acne, inflammation, general redness and irritation of the skin. Sunflower oil has emollient properties that help the skin retain its moisture.
Jojoba Oil: Chemically similar to our own moisturizing sebum. It is quickly absorbed, and is nourishing to the skin.
Evening Primrose Oil: Healing and reduces inflammation.
Frankincense: Anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory. Encourages new cell growth helping to tighten skin and reduce wrinkles.
Myrrh: Anti-inflammatory, helps to promote skin elasticity and soothes cracked or chapped skin.
Lavender: strong and calming fragrance helps ease nervous tension, stress and anxiety. It has analgesic, anti-allergenic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antiseptic properties making it great for stimulating the growth of new skin cells.
Cypress: Has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. Cypress stimulates blood flow, increasing circulation and reduces inflammation.
To start Dry Brushing:
Start at the feet, brush the bottoms of your feet and up your legs in long, smooth strokes. Brush each section of skin 5-10 times. For lymph flow, always brush toward the heart/chest where the lymph system drains.
Repeat the same process with the arms starting with the palms of the hands and brushing up the arm toward the heart.
On the stomach and armpits, brush in a circular clockwise motion.
Shower afterwards to remove dead skin. Dry brushing helps open pores allowing better absorption of the all-natural body oil, which should be applied after showering.
